Ali Ibn Abi Talib r.a said:

“You have to forgive people for their shortcomings, no matter how much they’ve hurt you. And forgiving is not just saying you do, you have to do it from the heart, your actions, your thoughts, everything should reflect this otherwise you haven’t truly forgiven and the only person who its going to burden the most, is yourself. Sometimes it isn’t easy but forgive for the sake of ALLAH for when you do anything in the way of ALLAH, it becomes much more easier.”
